Holy smokes, this restaurant serves a mean breakfast. I came in a party of four the morning we finished a section hike of the PNT, stinking to high heaven, and the waiters immediately sat us without question. They must be used to fragrant hikers, as they didn't bat an eye at our voracious eating habits or murmurs of "Oh my God, this is the best meal I've ever had..." We each had a full breakfast and pie and we're fully satisfied. I'd come back in a heartbeat we're I in the area. This is a hiker-friendly establishment for sure

Stopped here at the end of a long hike along the PNT. Food and service here were excellent. Staff was very friendly. The Chicken Fried Steak breakfast was delicious and hit the spot. Also don't miss out on the great selection of freshly baked pies.

Quaint small town cafe for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The Farmhouse (formerly Cathy's) isn't going to be featured in "Cutting Edge Food Magazine" any time soon, but if you want a chicken fried steak, with a side of hometown, followed by homemade pie "alamode", this is a great place to stop on your way through.
No pretentiousness. You might be waited on by a high school kid or a lady that's never served tables anywhere else in her life, but as long as you know what to expect, you'll love this place for what it is. Don't be surprised if everyone else in the place seems to know each other... they're probably related ;D -

Stopping here is a must. Great folks! The food for breakfast was awesome !! Even if you are close by and in the area, just stop looking for a place to eat and go here. The entire staff was fantastic !! Thanks for having us!!

Cathy's Café under new ownership since November 2018 - now the Farmhouse Café. Great food for breakfast, exemplary service - quick, sweet, kind service. They go the extra mile. After ordering our scramble they came back and asked if we wanted Avacado or cheese even though it wasn't listed. The new owner, Kimberley and the two girls working with her make you feel right at home. The homemade pies looked delicious too and they make great espresso drinks.
